We took advantage of every inch of this property by building stairs down a steep slope to a surprise at the bottom.

Sometimes a project can be a real challenge. In this case we were working with a steep grade that our client needed to utilize with stairs to a new pool house and tennis courts. No problem, the Fiona’s Garden Gate team loves a good challenge!

In these BEFORE shots, you can see we started with a retaining wall and worked to add wooden stars down the steep slope.

We created graduating gardens of shade plants and grasses that soften while integrating the stairs seamlessly into the natural scape.

The pool house is hidden out of the way, yet still accessible from the first landing.

The finished project allows our client an unobstructed view of their ravine from the main upper seating areas and pool, yet the safe and beautifully integrated stairs give simple and easy passage to the tennis courts below.
